What begins as a foundation/framework/base for simplicity/ease/comfort, gradually morphs/transforms/evolves into a burden/weight/obstacle. We become accustomed/settle into/fall prey to the familiarity/predictability/routine of our current/existing/present situation, resisting/averse to/unwilling to embark/venture/initiate on a path/journey/course of change/transformation/evolution.
